Difficulty in marriage
There were some girls who had the difficulty of not finding relationships and when they gathered they asked one another what their bad luck might be, for they could not find boyfriends and the time for marriage had already passed them by.
They went to parties and gatherings but never found a boyfriend.
The daughter of Olofin was among them, and in the same condiciones.
One day Olofin organized a party and invited all the girls, and they before leaving for the party got a reading, which told them they had difficulties in getting boyfriends to marry, and that to solve this problem they had to do Ebbo.
They all went to the party Olofin was giving, after having done the Ebbo.
There were six young men invited; they all found their respective girlfriends, but it did not happen so for Olofin's daughter.
He, seeing that the others had married and that his daughter had been left a spinster, wanted to know the cause and the reason why.
He went to Orunmila's house and told him that his daughter had not married and the others had, so Olofin gave him his daughter's hand and she married Orunmila.
When baba wanted Orunmila to dry up the sea for him
Once the people did nothing but talk about Orunmila, whether he was a diviner or miraculous; all these comments reached the ears of Obatala, and he was already tired of hearing the same thing at all hours, and sent for Orunmila and gathered all the saints around him and before them told Orunmila that he wanted him to demonstrate to them the truth about all that the people said about the miracles, and Orunmila answered him: I only carry out the guidance of Olofin and do what he orders me.
Then Obatala told him
I want you to dry up the sea for me; and Orunmila answered him: yes, I accept, but on the condition that you cook, for according to how I work, I keep eating.
Obatala said to him: I accept, I will prepare the food, and orumila said to him: I will give you the food so that you can cook it for me, and baba accepted.
Then Orunmila took five stones out of a pocket and gave them to him so that he could cook them and also three fans to fan the fire.
Orunmila started to draw water with a bucket from the sea and Obatala started to prepare the food with the stones that Orunmila had given him.
Three days passed and baba was tired and exhausted from being bent over giving fresh air to the flame so he could cook the stones, and then he said to Orunmila: pal, it is impossible to prepare the food, these stones do not soften, and Orunmila answered him: just so it is also impossible to dry the sea, and Obatala said to him: to iban Eshu.
