Stories and patakíes
He remained dumb
Obara oshe was a very clumsy young man and every time he went to the house of an elder or to the house of his godfather, they would start teaching him, he would say that he knew and did not value the learning that his elders transmitted to him and that is how he was for a long time until he stopped seeing them.
And when he was alone and had responsibility, he could not help because his ignorance made him remain dumb.
Obara and oshe
"Obara and oshe went to live in a territory and oloddumare sent three priests who lived there to go see obara and oshe so they could help them get out of their situation, since obara and oshe were very poor and that is why they had to move from where they had lived before.
They arrived at the humble house of obara and oshe and the priests asked them for food, but they told them they did not have any because they were very poor.
One of the priests saw a she-goat tied up in the yard and asked them to sacrifice it so they could eat.
Obara agreed and sacrificed the she-goat, but oshe was offended because it was the only thing they had to survive, since by selling it they would have gotten good money to survive.
After the priests finished eating, oshe got ready to fight over this situation and did so in front of the guests.
Obara told his wife oshe not to worry, to boil those squashes that were there for him to eat, and oshe told him that if she was only going to eat squash then she would not eat.
Obara calmly told his wife oshe, I will go out to look for something else to eat.
As soon as obara left, oshe in anger took the axe and drew it down on one of those squashes that the priests had left.
What was her surprise when she saw that garments, precious jewels and gold coins came out of the squash.
When obara arrived, oshe told him about the experience and they opened the other squash and found the same thing.
Excitement led oshe to focus on the third squash that was there, but obara told her no, that they would wait to open it on the third day and that is what they did.
Thanks to such abundance obara and oshe multiplied and that territory grew a great deal in inhabitants and trade".
