How Obatala became owner of the heads
Aggayu was waging a war against Obatala because he wanted to prevent Olofin from granting the latter the power over all heads.
The condition imposed on Obatala by Olofin was the search for an Ashé (a valued thing) that consisted of some eyeles that had their nests on the roofs of certain houses.
Obatala went to Yemaya asking her for help to catch those eyeles; Yemaya, surprised, asked him: and why do you want my help?

Obatala answered her: because aggayu has filled the paths with snakes, Yemaya said: I cannot help you, but go to the house of the diviner who lives on the outskirts of your kingdom, he will be able to consult you and will know how to get you out of this predicament.
Obatala took his leave of Yemaya and went to where iya told him.
Aware of Obatala's problem, he said to him: go see Shango on my behalf, he will take you up to the roof of the houses where the Eyele are and you will catch them.
When Obatala found Shango he said to him: Shango, I come on behalf of elegua so you can catch for me those Eyele that are on that roof.

Shango said very well and set out toward the house indicated by baba, but after a short time he could not continue the trek because the path was full of snakes.
Shango climbed a tree and saw aggayu perched in another nearby tree and, getting down from where he was, he went up to where baba was and said to him: it is not possible for me to catch those Eyele because they are being watched, it is better that you seek Elegba himself, he will get you out of trouble.
Obatala took his leave of Shango and went off in search of Elegba and when he found him he asked him: can you help me catch some Eyele that are on that roof?
With great pleasure, Elegba replied; thoroughly aware of the matter, Elegba took a sack, filled it with eku, eye yawado and was throwing it along the path until he drew away all the snakes and was able to walk without being troubled by the snakes, and he was singing: " Eshu barago aggo moyubara ".
And thus he managed to approach the thicket in which aggayu was hiding and said to him: aggayu, I have learned that you want to set a trap for Obatala and I come to take your side, aggayu answered him: what kind of help are you going to give me?

Elegba said to him: "I can block Obatala's paths".
Aggayu got down from the thicket and said to him: I like your help, you will be my partner.
Elegba took out a bottle of Oti and invited him to drink to celebrate the alliance; both started drinking until aggayu was completely drunk and Elegba left him abandoned there and ran to the house on whose roof the Eyele were, but he could not climb it, then Shango's voice was heard as he came singing, Elegba shouted to him: Shango!
Come this way.
Shango approached the house and asked Elegba, what are you doing there?
Elegba answered him: I cannot climb up to the roof to get the Eyele that Obatala needs.
Shango easily climbed the wall, went up onto the roof and got the Eyele.
Obatala was coming along the way and the three went to Olofin, who, when he saw Obatala with the Eyele, said to him: Obatala, I make you owner of all heads, and to you, Elegba, I grant the power to open the paths.
