Stories and patakíes
Where Shango cursed enini
At the beginning of the world when Olofin sent Obatala so that he would refresh him with his oboses so that the people would not get sick and would have good fortune and health.
Obatala sent the oboses with enini who would be his maid and his head rogations did not turn out well.
Then he went to Elegba who saw this sign and told him: despite all the rogations you have made, none have served any purpose because there was a person on the road who was hurting you.
He told him that when he sent the Ebbo with his maid enini, he should hide in the thicket so that he could catch her.
Obatala did so and saw when enini was eating the Ebbo and he came out and said to her: is it possible that the people in my own house are hurting me?
And he broke down crying, when Shango happened to pass by that place and saw baba crying, he asked him what was happening and he told him everything.
There Shango cursed enini and all women in general to always cry in their house because of men.
How Elegba got weapons and people
In a town there lived Elegba, Oggun, Oya and Oshun, but the case was that Elegba was upset with Oggun, not having weapons or people to win that war.
Elegba consults himself and it is said to him: your enemies are many and they are well armed, but if you do Ebbo with three sickles and stone and place them at the top of the hill so that the edges of the sickles interrupt the ascent path and behind you place a large number of stones, so that you can push them toward the path, when your enemies go to look for you, little by little you will be getting weapons and when people see that you have weapons, they will switch to your side.
Elegba did so and when his enemies were going up the path, the first ones were wounded by the sickles, an opportunity he took advantage of to push the stones which, rolling down hastily, killed some of his enemies and, acting quickly, shielded by this surprise, he collected the weapons abandoned by the dead and wounded and thus, barricaded at the top of the mountain, he went about annihilating his enemies.
When people realized that Elegba had weapons and was winning, they went over to his side, coming to have plenty of weapons and people.
